The CUA method of powder production
(see Figure 1) consists in
breakage of the melt owing
to vibration of tool 3 connected
with magnetostrictive converter
4. The method allows production
of high-purity powders with
the mean particel dimension
50 mkm at a 22 kHz frequency.
The method capacity is 10
to 20 kg of the product per
hour. Combination of the US
and CHA methods makes it possible
to raise the capacity up to
100 kg of the product per
hour and to produce powders
with the mean particle dimension
from 10 to 30 mkm.
